Kourtney Kardashian has revealed new details about the wedding dress she wore to wed Travis Barker last summer, revealing it was 'inspired by some 1990s campaigns of Monica Bellucci shot by Helmut Newton for Blumarine'
She referred to images from the house's spring 1993 campaign, in which the Italian beauty wore a cupless bridal corset and dramatic veil
Kourtney Kardashian (43) wisely chose not to free her nipple on her wedding day, instead opting for a similarly thigh-baring white lace dress.
'The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses November Rain video one night before we were even engaged, and we said to each other ‘this has to be our wedding,' the reality star wrote in her Instagram caption.
'She was wearing a short dress and I thought to myself ‘I need a short dress,' wrote Kourtney
The May 2022 wedding’s location, Portofino, “also influenced the vibes and feeling of the dress,” added Kourtney Kardashian, because she “just wanted to feel like we ran off to Italy and got married.”
Kourtney Kardashian's Bellucci-esque veil featured a special tribute to her husband.
“When @dolcegabbana suggested putting Travis’s head tattoo of the Virgin Mary on the handmade lace veil with the words from his tattoo: family, loyalty, respect underneath, I got chills and knew how special that felt,” she wrote.
Travis Barker commented on the post, calling Kourtney Kardashian 'The most beautiful bride'.
